Short answer: removals for older people cost different amounts depending on the size of the home, the distance and how much support is needed. At Chayce Properties, packing and removals start from £995, and a full-service move with a dedicated coordinator starts from £1,850.
What drives the cost
- Size of the home and how much needs moving.
- Distance between the two properties.
- Packing and unpacking: doing it for you adds time but removes the hardest work.
- Sorting and decluttering before the move.
- Access: stairs, parking, lifts and narrow roads at either end.
- Extras such as storage, deep cleaning and staging a house for sale.

Getting a number you can trust
Compare like with like. A low quote that excludes packing, insurance or settling in is not the same product as a full-service move. Our guide on what a senior move costs explains how to compare, and the packages page puts the options side by side. Every Chayce removal is fully insured, and the details are set out in your service agreement before the move begins.
